Reporting to the Facility Manager of Score Valve Services and the HSEQ & Continuous Improvement Manager (Americas), the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor is responsible for conducting day-to-day quality control and HSE processes in addition to assuring the site’s compliance with company standards.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
General
- Maintain, enhance & amend as necessary the Score Valve Services Management System, procedures and policies and report the effectiveness of the system to management.
- Provide professional HSEQ support to managers and employees, dealing with queries promptly.
- Ensure all nonconformances are registered, investigated appropriately and actions managed to closure within required timelines.
- Manage and maintain calibrated equipment in accordance with procedural requirements.
- Assist with preparation of Management Review meetings, reporting the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure all established health and safety policies are administered and enforced consistently.
- Work closely with management to achieve health and safety objectives.
- Coordinate incident and near miss investigations, ensuring corrective actions and lessons learned are implemented and reported.
- Maintenance of training records and training matrices.
- Perform regular workshop inspections, identifying and addressing safety concerns.
- Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the company to fulfil the company’s requirements.
Internal / External Audits
- Conduct internal audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule.
- Schedule, coordinate and facilitate all external audits with clients, governing bodies, etc
- Ensure findings are documented, communicated, and corrective actions are implemented.
Client Portals and Approvals:
- Manage and maintain client portals and approvals related to HSEQ requirements.
- Maintain current accreditations and ensure company is maintaining its standards.
Monthly Meetings & Reporting:
- Coordinate and participate in safety meetings and other relevant meetings.
- Ensure monthly Score Group reporting requirements related to HSEQ are met.
Quality Control & Quality Assurance (QC & QA):

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- In-excess of 3 years proven QA / QC Experience, including internal auditing.
- In-excess of 2 years proven Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) experience.
- Experience ideally gained within the Valve industry or related industry, working with pressure vessels or pressure systems.
- A two-year technical degree, diploma, or a related trades experience, is preferred.
- Must possess a nationally recognized certification in Health & Safety management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge
- Familiar with international valve & material standards (ASME, ANSI, DIN, API etc.)
- Procedural knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards, clause requirements, and management principles, along with provincial legislative requirements.
