Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial hygiene, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in an HSE or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Ability to conduct safety inspections, investigations, and employee training effectively.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and preparing safety reports.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with employees and management.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to promoting a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular worksite safety inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety plans to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct safety training and educational sessions for employees on procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, near misses, and injuries to identify root causes.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training, and corrective actions.
• Track progress of corrective actions to ensure hazards are addressed.
• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and departments to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Assist with development and continuous improvement of HSE policies and programs.
