Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Technician in Alamo, TN to promote safe behaviors and environmental compliance on the production floor.

You will collaborate with supervisors and teams to strengthen HSE performance and maintain health, safety, and fire prevention systems across the site. The role emphasizes practical HSE knowledge, on-floor problem solving, and partnerships with operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with HSE applications.
• Solid interpersonal, coaching, and influencing skills.
• Practical problem-solving and sound judgment.
• Clear spoken and written communication.
• Work well with others on the floor and across teams.
• Experience with OSHA requirements, behavior-based safety, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001.
• Ability to support cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Coach and advise supervisors on HSE practices and expectations.
• Support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal HSE requirements.
• Help maintain HSE management systems, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Verify corrective actions help prevent repeat incidents or unsafe conditions.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up activities.
• Review trends from incidents, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Help implement Group and Business Unit HSE programs and procedures.
• Organize activities that increase awareness and encourage safe behaviors.
• Support HSE planning, key performance indicators, goals, and risk reduction efforts.
• Model Hitachi Energy's values of safety and integrity.
