Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN, is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Technician to support safe behaviors and regulatory compliance on the factory floor. You will help maintain HSE systems, conduct inspections, and drive corrective actions with operations teams.

The role emphasizes practical problem-solving, on-site coaching, and collaboration across functions to reduce risk and strengthen HSE performance.

Qualifications

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• You bring two to five years of manufacturing experience, preferably with HSE applications.
• You have experience with OSHA requirements, behavior-based safety, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001.

Responsibilities

• You will coach and advise supervisors on HSE practices and expectations.
• You will support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal HSE requirements.
• You will help maintain HSE management systems, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• You will verify corrective actions help prevent repeat incidents or unsafe conditions.
• You will support incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up activities.
• You will review trends from incidents, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• You will help implement Group and Business Unit HSE programs and procedures.
• You will organize activities that increase awareness and encourage safe behaviors.
• You will support HSE planning, key performance indicators, goals, and risk reduction efforts.
• You will model Hitachi Energy’s values of safety and integrity.
