Job summary

S&C Electric Company invites applications for a Full-Time Summer 2027 Internship, offering a 1st shift (8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday) in Chicago. The role focuses on environmental data analysis within the Global HSE&S team, with hourly pay ranging from $22 to $30 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking to identify patterns and improve processes.
• Ability to work in a production/plant environment with colleagues.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic PC skills.
• Knowledge of industrial hygiene, policy, and occupational safety is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze environmental data.
• Generate reports and present graphical information.
• Monitor processes including basic industrial hygiene activities.
• Research pollution prevention initiatives (reuse, recycling, reduction).
• Participate in team problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Observe behavioral-based safety practices.
• Assist in PPE program selection, recycling, and auditing.
