Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a senior HSE professional to lead safety processes, drive policy implementation, and champion a strong safety culture across the site in Ohio. The role emphasizes line management engagement, audits, training delivery, and strategic HSE initiatives.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in HSE with hazardous materials experience and excellent English communication. Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $95,000 with comprehensive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HSE&S/engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in processes involving hazardous materials.
• Strong English language skills and ability to communicate across levels.

Responsibilities

• Build line management understanding of safety processes and core HSE practices.
• Support site by leveraging HSE knowledge through delivery of Safety Common Platform and related training.
• Guide line management to develop and implement HSE policies, plans and practices.
• Participate in site inspections, audits and incident investigations; lead corrective actions.
• Contribute to deployment of the HSE strategy for the entity and site.
