Job summary

RigUp, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety professional in Watford City, North Dakota, to lead compliance with federal/state EH&S requirements and to act as a functional expert across disciplines.

The role focuses on developing programs, conducting risk assessments, and guiding operations through training, audits, and incident investigations to protect employees and the community. Schedule: 14 Days On/14 Days Off (12Hr Days) to support continuous safety oversight.

Qualifications

• Typically 5–7 years of experience in HSE roles.
• Strong understanding of EH&S disciplines.
• Able to translate regulations into practices.
• Decision-making within broad parameters.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety leadership on OSHA, DOT, and policies.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S standards and regulations.
• Develop and maintain safety programs and procedures.
• Monitor and prevent hazards and diseases in the work area.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints.
• Recommend process improvements to reduce hazards.
• Ensure HSE excellence through training and audits.
• Serve as a functional expert in HSE disciplines.
• Provide guidance and regulatory interpretation for HSE issues.

Job Description:

Performs tasks in a wide range of environmental, health, and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with EH&S standards and with federal and state regulatory requirements. The position serves as a functional expert in most health, safety, and environmental disciplines, providing guidance, regulatory interpretation, and assistance with procedure development for a variety of HSE issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safety leadership to management and employees to include OSHA standards and compliance strategies, DOT Compliance Requirements, and policies and standards
• Perform tasks in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with the organization’s EH&S standards and with federal and state regulatory requirements
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of programs, systems and procedures necessary to ensure the overall safety and health of employees and the community
• Assist in monitoring and preventing chemical, physical and biological hazards and diseases that could be present in the work area
• Work with others to investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards or uncomfortable conditions in the work place
• Participate in recommending improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazardous potential
• Ensure HSE excellence through training, involvement in behavior based programs, auditing of management and safety systems, rig inspections, gathering and trending leading and trailing indicators, and participation in the incident investigation & reporting processes
• Be a functional expert in most health, safety, and environmental disciplines
• Provide guidance, regulatory interpretation, and assist with procedure development for a variety of HSE issues
