Job summary

ABB is seeking an HSE Manager in the US to improve Health, Safety and Environment performance in their area. This role is 100% on-site and reports to HSE Manager. You will lead incident investigations, provide guidance, and drive behavioral change through programs.

Requires 5 years HSE experience or degree in Health/Safety environment. US work authorization essential. Join ABB to contribute to a high-performance HSE culture and support risk management across the ABB value chain.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 5 years of HSE experience or an Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Health/Safety Environment preferred.
• Prior experience supporting Health, Safety and Environment or working in an HSE role preferred.
• Experience with Data Analytics, Report Compiling and Excel Data Management a plus.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Report HSE incidents to management and stakeholders and take appropriate actions.
• Facilitate and assist incident investigations to learn and mitigate risks.
• Provide feedback on lessons learned and best practices within and across ABB.
• Support and drive behavioral change through local implementation of performance improvement programs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. This is a 100% on-site role.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
• Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
• Providing feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
• Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
