Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to support construction-site safety programs in Texas. You will collaborate with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and facilities to ensure compliance and risk reduction.

The role includes coaching staff, delivering training, and leading hazard analyses. The ideal candidate holds a 4-year related degree with 2 years’ experience or 5 years of relevant experience with CHST/STS-C, and can travel up to 25% to project sites.

  • Ability to spend 80% of time on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal teams, client representatives, regulatory agencies, and medical facilities to maintain relationships.
  • Support and promote the company’s safety program and incident prevention initiatives.
  • Implement project-based safety programs aligned with strategic goals.
  • Contribute to pre-task planning and job site safety meetings.
  • Coach and teach duties and processes to junior team members.
  • Prepare and deliver safety meetings and training to enhance hazard awareness.
  • Develop and review job hazard analyses to identify risks and controls.
  • Support investigations and communications of incidents, near-misses, and claims.
  • Maintain knowledge of HSE standards, programs, and objectives.
  • Model HSE goals to ensure a safe, productive environment.
  • Develop routine HSE project plans and specifications.
  • Provide input for audits, inspections, evaluations, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain required reports to meet corporate and regulatory standards.

Job description

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Collaborate with internal teams, client representatives, regulatory agencies, and medical facilities to maintain effective working relationships.

Support and promote the company’s safety program and local incident prevention initiatives to reduce risk behaviors.

Implement project-based safety programs aligned with strategic goals.

Contributes to pre-task planning and job site safety meetings.

Coaches and teaches duties and processes to more junior team members.

Prepares and delivers safety meetings and training to enhance hazard awareness.

Contributes to, and makes recommendations to the development and review of job hazard analyses to identify risks and control measures

Support incident, near-miss, and claim investigations and communications.

Maintain thorough knowledge of company HSE standards, programs, and objectives.

Model HSE goals to ensure a safe and productive environment.

Assist in developing routine HSE project plans and specifications.

Provide input and guidance supporting audits, inspections, evaluations, and incident investigations.

Maintain required reports and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory standards

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred

Professional verbal and written communication skills

Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail

Thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and supporting administrative practices.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

4-year related degree and 2 years’ experience and STS-C or 5 years relevant experience and CHST.

Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites.

TRAVEL:

Up to 25 % as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS:

General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.

Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
