Job Summary
As an HSE Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines. Your responsibilities will include incident investigations and reports, inspections, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards in alignment with client, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Talon policies and procedures. You will contribute to the development and implementation of values, systems, and standards, facilitating the collection and analysis of HSE statistics.
Principal Accountabilities
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
- Implement health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Conduct incident investigations and create incident reports.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with HSE standards including client, federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Talon Technical Services procedures.
- Interact with services personnel, clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to interpret standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct audits of company-operated properties based on regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
- Stay informed of regulatory requirements and auditing standards.
- Assist inthe development and implementation of values, systems, and standards for capturing and analyzing HSE statistics.
- Perform administrative functions to support Occupational Health, including medical physicals for Talon Technical Services direct hire and subcontractor personnel.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide a high level of employee service.
- Work under general occasional direct supervision to perforn assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within the HSE field.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- Requires a minimum of an associate’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience and OSHA 30-hour course.
- Requires excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point skills.
- Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Must have a valid State Driver’s License
- Ability to pass a Military Background Check for access to military installations.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Additional Skills or Experience Preferred
- Additional languages spoken.
- Extensive experience in HSE roles within diverse environments.
- Specialized training in specific areas of occupational health and safety.
- Prior experience working on stateside or overseas U.S. military facilities/installations
