Job summary

ANDRITZ Hydro seeks an experienced HSE Site Officer to support construction sites in the US. You will work with a site team to ensure full compliance with HSE management systems, perform on-floor safety tasks, and document site activities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years as a Safety Supervisor on hydro power/USACE projects, OSHA 30+ hours, and strong communication across all levels. Travel and flexible schedules are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (spoken & written) at all levels.
• Leadership and teamwork to align site goals.
• Auditor and trainer capabilities in HSE.
• Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Willingness to travel and flexible with work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fulfillment of HSE requirements at construction site per HSE plan.
• Support Site Manager for HSE management and safety instruction implementation.
• Liaise with customer HSE and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HSE statistics reports.
• Enforce Health & Safety Plan, Risk Assessments, EM 385-1-1.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance of safety requirements.
• Maintain OSHA Form 300/300A on site (US only).
• Assist in implementing/updating HSE plan and controls.
• Identify risks and define controls with safe work procedures.
• Record safety checks and inspections; conduct toolbox talks.
