Job summary

IMI plc is seeking an HSE Manager at University Park, IL to lead the site’s health, safety, and environmental programs. You will drive strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate incident investigations while partnering with HR for onboarding and training.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in HSE roles within manufacturing, NEBOSH certification, and strong leadership with a focus on continuous improvement and KPI-driven results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; related field preferred.
• NEBOSH international certificate or equivalent HSE certification (SMP, CSM or CSP).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an HSE position within manufacturing.
• Proven record of delivering improved HSE performance and audits (ISO 19011 a plus).
• Strong ability to lead, influence, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with HSE management systems and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Drive and develop the HSE strategy with site leadership.
• Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the site team.
• Set goals and monitor progress with KPI tracking.
• Lead internal, external, customer, and regulatory risk assessments and audits.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and update policies per IMI framework.
• Lead accident/incident investigations and drive continuous improvement.
• Support HR during onboarding and ongoing HSE training.
