Job summary

IMI plc in University Park, IL is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental programs across the site. You will partner with site leadership to develop policies, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance.

This role requires NEBOSH or equivalent, a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in HSE within manufacturing, strong auditing and incident investigation skills, and a proven ability to inspire teams toward safe, sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a related field.
• NEBOSH international certificate or equivalent HSE certification.
• Minimum 5 years in an HSE role within manufacturing.
• Strong auditing, incident investigation and regulatory compliance experience.
• Proven leadership and ability to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSE strategy with site leadership to drive performance and sustainable development.
• Provide direction, coaching and guidance to the site team.
• Develop and monitor KPI targets aligned with business goals; track performance.
• Act as main HSE contact internally and externally; provide technical support.
• Support and update HSE policies in line with the IMI Framework.
• Lead accident/incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and perform risk assessments and audits.
• Oversee internal/external/regulatory audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure adequate safety resources, training and equipment across the unit.
