Job summary

Nordic PCL Construction, Inc. is offering a Health, Safety, and Environment Student Intern position in Honolulu, Hawaii. Three to four months starting May 2027, interns will gain hands-on safety experience on real projects within the Hawaii district of the US Buildings sector.

The role emphasizes learning OH&S processes, safety program monitoring, and collaboration with project teams. Applicants should be pursuing a relevant degree, have a valid driver's license, and be prepared for on-site work

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or diploma in OH&S or related area.
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to learn construction processes and terminology.
• Must be able to navigate a construction site daily and climb ladders/stairs.

Responsibilities

• Gathers/reviews/distributes safety-related statistical information.
• Monitors site-specific programs/requirements/compliance.
• Recognizes and follows PCL and local legislative requirements.
• Assists with understanding client needs and responds accordingly.
• Interprets simple work sequences and communicates safety standards to workforce.
