Job summary

Notre Dame de Sion School in Kansas City, MO, seeks an experienced HS throwing coach to lead the track and field throws program for the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

• Experience developing HS Track & Field throwers (discus, javelin, shot put).
• Demonstrated professionalism, leadership, sportsmanship and respect.
• Ability to work with students, staff, administration and parents with organizational skills and motivation.
• Willingness to travel for 1–2 overnight trips.
• Preferred four-year degree; minimum two years coaching experience in throws.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating practice sessions and training programs for throwers, focusing on growth, fundamentals and safety.
• Design and implement a weight room program including conditioning, resistance, mobility and recovery for athlete development.
• Attend all practices and meets; may drive team van; coach during afternoons and Saturdays during championship seasons.
• Promote a positive attitude, academic achievement and personal growth in collaboration with the Head Coach.
• Comply with Notre Dame de Sion School policies and procedures.
