Job summary

Mineral Wells ISD is seeking an HS Special Education Aide for a self-contained classroom at Mineral Wells High School. You will support students with disabilities, assist with instructional programs, and follow guidance from teachers and principals.

Responsibilities include preparing instructional materials, maintaining a neat classroom, assisting with student mobility and personal care, supervising throughout the day, and participating in staff development as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate’s degree or two years of college study are acceptable.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate is required.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Keep administrative records and reports as needed.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
