Job summary

PCM Community School District in Monroe, Iowa, is seeking a HS Softball Head Coach to provide leadership, supervision and organization of the varsity program, helping students reach skill, discipline, and self-esteem through athletics.

You will coach players, stay current on rules, ensure safety, communicate with students, parents, staff, and administration, and adhere to district policies for extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Valid Iowa Coaching License or Authorization.
• Mandatory Reporter Training-child abuse.
• Must pass comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Keep abreast of new ideas and techniques in sports field assigned.
• Be knowledgeable of rules and regulations plus changes that occur.
• Coach individual participants in the skill areas necessary for excellent achievement in the sport involved.
• Ensure student safety and maintain appropriate conduct during activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Adhere to all district policies and guidelines related to extracurricular activities.

Job Description

Yearly stipend - $4,940

Purpose

To provide leadership, supervision and organization of a specific athletic activity and to carry out the objectives of the total athletic program, to include helping each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline, and an increased level of self-esteem.
