Job Description

START DATE: August, 2027

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Teacher contract days according to the District school calendar, with benefits according to Board policy. The District currently participates in the MO Teacher Baseline Salary Grant ($40,000 minimum) and Career Ladder (Stages 1-3).

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Missouri teacher certificate for appropriate level:Math9-12or such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

REPORTS TO: Building Administrator

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

• ¨ Sick Leave - 11 days/school year, accumulative to 180 days
• ¨ Personal Days - 3 days/school year, non-accumulative
• ¨ Retirement - The Missouri Teacher Retirement System
• ¨ Life Insurance - $15,000 of basic life insurance coverage
• ¨ Health Plans - Employer paid individual plan. Spouse and family coverage available at employee's expense.

• Complete and submit forms and required reports in a timely manner
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and other educational concerns
• Participate as a member of an IEP team, 504 team or other student assistance teams as requested
• Implement special educational plans such as 504 plans, individual educational programs and individual health plans
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, discrimination and harassments as directed by Board policy
• Prepare lesson plans for use by a substitute teacher
• Subject area teachers may have additional duties and responsibilities
