Job summary

Lathrop R-II Schools is seeking a Head Cook for the high school campus for the 2026-2027 school year. The Head Cook will prepare and serve nutritious meals for students and staff following recipes and safety standards.

The role requires maintaining a clean, organized kitchen, proper food storage, and positive teamwork. Shifts run Tue-Fri, about 28 hours weekly, with starting pay of $15.71 per hour; background check is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to push/pull, lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Lathrop R-II Schools is taking applications for a head cook position in the high school building for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Job Summary

The Head Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food items to students and/or school personnel in an efficient manner, and maintaining the food service facilities in safe and sanitary condition.

• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.

Hours & Salary

• Tuesday through Friday (28 hours per week)
• Daily shift of 7 hours, between 6:30 am and 1:30 pm
• Starting pay rate is $15.71 per hour
