Job summary

The Clear Creek Amana High School in Tiffin, IA is seeking an Assistant FFA Sponsor who will work with the Head Sponsor to support student leadership, events, and organizational activities. The role focuses on promoting leadership, growth, and engagement while aligning with the district’s mission and expectations.

You will assist with meetings, activities, fundraising, and communication, serving as a positive role model and ensuring programs run smoothly and compliantly.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and community members.
• Demonstrated commitment to student leadership development and extracurricular involvement.
• Ability to supervise students in a variety of settings outside the regular school day.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Sponsor in planning, organizing, and supervising organization meetings and activities.
• Support the implementation of the organization’s annual goals and program of activities.
• Help supervise students during organization events, competitions, conferences, community service projects, and other sponsored activities.
• Assist with organizing fundraising activities in accordance with district policies and procedures.
• Promote student leadership, responsibility, citizenship, and positive school culture.
• Help maintain effective communication with students, families, school staff, and administration.
• Assist with record keeping, documentation, and completion of required reports as assigned.
• Encourage student participation and help recruit new members.
• Support compliance with district policies as well as state and national organization requirements.
• Attend sponsor meetings, professional development opportunities, and required organizational events as assigned.
• Perform other duties related to the successful operation of the organization as assigned by the Head Sponsor or Activities Director.
