Job summary

Clear Creek Amana Middle School in Tiffin, IA is seeking an Assistant Girls Wrestling Coach to assist with instruction and lead the team in competition. Reports to the Activities Director and Head Coach, supervising students and ensuring safe practices.

Responsibilities include coordinating with parents, assisting with equipment, enforcing eligibility rules, organizing home events, and assisting in media communication and statistics preparation.

Qualifications

• Current coaching license from State of Iowa.
• Ability to work well with others and willingness to assume responsibility.
• Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them.
• Enjoys working with young people as well as staff and parents.
• Professional conduct including confidentiality, communication, attendance, and appropriate dress.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all athletes are properly supervised at all times.
• Attend annual coaches meeting to review school policies.
• Meet with parents to discuss policies, expectations, and information before first interscholastic contest.
• Assist with completing and returning required forms including concussion forms.
• Help prepare equipment and issue uniforms.
• Enforce training rules and report violations.
• Help organize home events and prepare facilities.
• Ensure athletes complete medical treatment consent forms for practices and contests.
• Supervise locker rooms, showers, and training rooms.
• Assist in securing facilities after events.
• Attend all practices and games, or be available for scouting.
• Report injuries to head coach and athletic trainer; assist with accident forms.
• Notify media of outcomes and help prepare stats.
• Inventory equipment and uniforms at season end.
• Suggest new equipment purchases to head coach.
• Regular attendance and fulfill duties assigned by activities director, building principal, or superintendent.
