Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a part-time HS Color Guard instructor in Des Moines, Iowa. The instructor will coordinate and direct the Color Guard, which is the auxiliary unit of the marching band, for independent performance and competition.

Applicants should have experience in color guard in a leadership role, and a Bachelor's degree in dance or music is preferred. The position includes activities ranging from choreography to managing rehearsals and supporting student participation in performances.

Qualifications

• Experience in color guard in a leadership role is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in dance or music is desired.
• Experience as a high school or collegiate color guard instructor is desired.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates preparations, exercises, and activities of the Color Guard.
• Choreographs and implements color guard routines.
• Assists in adjudication of new student try-outs.

Skills

Experience in color guard in a leadership role
