Job summary

Camas Valley School District is seeking a qualified High School Boys Basketball Coach to help build and maintain the program. You must be available for all practices and competition events, communicate with staff, athletes and parents, and follow OSAA/Little Fir League rules while developing player fundamentals.

Responsibilities include planning practices, transporting the team to away games, ensuring safety, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with the athletic director for facility usage

Qualifications

• At least one year of successful coaching experience preferred.
• OSAA Certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR card.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute practices.
• Transport team members to and from away games.
• Communicate with school personnel, student athletes and parents.
• Familiar with OSAA and Little Fir League rules.
• Develop player fundamentals and monitor safety protocols.
• Supervise athletes to, at and from events.
• Maintain equipment and inventory and request facility usage as needed.
• Coordinate with athletic director for facility usage and program growth.
• Increase athletic participation in the program.
