Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) is seeking an HS - Assistant Baseball Coach at Schlagle High School to support the head coach and manage practice sessions, equipment, and transportation as needed.

The role requires certified teaching status or eligibility for Rule 10 approval, strong communication and organizational skills, and a commitment to student athletes in a diverse urban district. Immediate start; part-time role under district guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certified teacher or must qualify for Rule 10 approval through the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and guardians and organize athletic activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach with organizing and directing coaching staff.
• Maintain equipment inventories and ensure proper storage and security.
• Report injuries and coordinate with school nurse as needed.
• Plan and run practice sessions and rosters for athletes.
