Job summary

TIC – The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled labor helper to assist craftspeople on construction sites. The role requires physical activity, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to follow directions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities include assisting with setup, maintaining clean work areas, reading job signs, and aiding in estimating basic project quantities and materials. The position involves varying outdoor conditions and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; field experience preferred.
• Strong ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Proficient with electrical, hand, power, layout and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled craft workers in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions given by superintendents, foreman and other experienced crew.
• Perform all duties with safety as the first priority.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Read and understand warning signs and operating instructions for equipment and jobsite safety rules.
• Observe functioning of equipment or systems to identify hazards.
• Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities needed to perform work.
• Inspect subordinates' work for compliance and deficiencies.
