The Housing & Residence Life Department within Student Affairsseeks to fill the Front Desk Assistant positions which must possessexcellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; becreative and a self-starter; possess excellent organizationalskills; and be able to multi-task and prioritize workload whileworking well independently within a team-oriented environment. Theposition requires strong customer service skills and proficiency inMicrosoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The Front Desk Assistantmust also be able to work well under stressful and intenseconditions.
High school diploma or General EquivalencyDiploma (GED) required. A two-year or 4-year degree is preferred. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Two years working in an officesetting handling general administrative task. Experience workingwith diverse student populations strongly preferred. Experiencewith emergency/incident response preferred. Experience workingunder stressful conditions requiring quick-thinking and analyticalskills desired. Must be willing to fulfill responsibilities asessential personnel and be willing to overtime, as needed.
The FDA position is an overnight position with a schedule from10:30pm - 7:00am during the fall and spring terms. During thesummer the FDAs have the option to stick with the overnight shiftor work 7am - 3:00pm or 3:00pm - 11:00pm.
