HRIS Systems Analyst

2 days ago Requisition ID: 1783

Overview:

The HRIS Systems Analyst administers, configures, and optimizes Holley’s HRIS and timekeeping systems, including integrations, controls, testing, and issue resolution. The role owns data integrity across HR systems, leading recurring audits and driving continuous improvement across processes, data, and systems, and exercises independent judgment in implementing approved changes. As part of the Total Rewards team, it looks for opportunities to simplify and automate, and partners with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and business leaders to ensure system reliability, accurate data flows, and compliance with internal controls. Timecard review and correction remain with people leaders, with HR guidance and follow-up, and Payroll reviews timekeeping outputs for exceptions affecting pay.

This is an in-office position that can be based in Nashville, TN or Bowling Green, KY. This role is not eligible for remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

HRIS Configuration & Support

  • Administer and maintain the HRIS, including configuration, security access, and core system functionality
  • Independently review employee and job data transactions in the system, applying judgment to ensure records are configured accurately and align with policy
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system issues, determining appropriate resolution or escalation
  • Support system testing, updates, and implementations, including requirements review, test execution, and issue documentation
  • Serve as the owner and subject‑matter expert for data integrity across HR systems, leading recurring audits, validation, and exception reporting

Timekeeping Systems & Payroll Systems Support

  • Administer the timekeeping platform, including configuration, access, interfaces, testing, controls, and issue resolution
  • Train leaders and HR Managers on system use, including timecard review and approval, and handle system‑related escalations
  • Serve as the first point of contact for timekeeping‑system and interface issues; route payroll calculation, tax, and garnishment questions to the Payroll Manager
  • Monitor system interfaces and data feeds affecting payroll; correct system‑side discrepancies and elevate employee‑level time and pay questions to Payroll or the leader

Reporting, Data Integrity & Automation

  • Build and maintain HRIS and timekeeping reporting, including system audits, data‑integrity checks, and automated timecard‑exception notifications for leaders, HR Managers, and Payroll
  • Lead recurring data‑integrity audits and analyze system exception and interface‑failure trends, driving corrective and preventive fixes that improve data accuracy across HR systems

Compliance, Documentation, & Process Improvement

  • Support compliance activities related to HRIS and timekeeping, including SOX controls and audit requirements
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes, system configuration, data definitions, and workflows
  • Continuously identify, design, and implement improvements to processes, data, and systems—including automation and AI‑enabled tools that reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
  • Safeguard confidential employee, pay, and personal data, maintaining appropriate system access and data‑privacy practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years in HRIS, timekeeping, or HR technology support, including hands‑on system administration and payroll data support
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and reporting capability (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations, large datasets)
  • Experience leading system testing, data audits and data‑cleanup initiatives, access controls, and root‑cause analysis
  • Working knowledge of federal and multi‑state wage‑and‑hour and timekeeping requirements as applied to system configuration and controls

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting an HRIS or timekeeping implementation, conversion, or major upgrade
  • Hands‑on experience with ADP Workforce Now, ADP timekeeping, or comparable HRIS/timekeeping platforms.
  • Experience using Smartsheet or similar project management tools
  • Experience delivering automation or AI‑enabled improvements in HR, payroll, or timekeeping processes
  • Experience supporting payroll and hourly populations in a manufacturing or multi‑location environment
  • Experience working in a SOX‑controlled environment
