Job summary

General Motors is seeking an HRIS Software Engineering Manager to lead a team delivering enterprise applications, platform capabilities, and intelligent workflows across cloud, SaaS, and hybrid environments in support of Finance, Human Resources, and Corporate Systems.

You will guide architecture, drive modern engineering practices, and focus on reliability, observability, and secure development while advancing AI-enabled automation for practical business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in software engineering or platform engineering.
• 3+ years leading technical teams.
• Experience designing scalable, secure systems.
• Strong architecture, reliability and observability knowledge.
• Experience with API-driven architectures and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers and technical leads.
• Drive delivery across the SDLC from planning to production support.
• Set engineering priorities and measurable outcomes aligned to business goals.
• Guide architecture, standards, and solution delivery.
• Remove roadblocks and manage risk for high-quality execution.
• Modernize legacy applications and integration patterns.
• Advance platform capabilities, API-first design, automation, and service-based engineering.
