Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of the department and with a high degree of autonomy, the HRIS Consultant will work independently or as a project leader to manage medium to complex projects. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and coordinating project tasks with professionals at various levels, including external contractors, to develop solutions for business opportunities and challenges. The role involves collaborating with experts from other disciplines and providing technical guidance to HR leadership on Human Resources Technology Systems, ensuring effective team collaboration and promoting a high-performing work environment.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage complex projects involving coordination of multiple teams, ensuring the successful completion of HCM projects with strategic impact.
- Provide expert guidance on HR Data Management, ensuring data integrity and effective utilization of HR systems.
- Present on key initiatives, update on work plans, and apply consulting and project management methodologies.
- Analyze and recommend best practices for business processes and data models to integrate HR data with self-service applications.
- Lead advancements in HR technology, including web-based Self Service applications.
- Collaborate with external vendors to implement and support new or enhanced technology solutions.
- Recommend software upgrades and ensure ongoing system functionality through maintenance and testing.
- Document applications and systems comprehensively for future reference.
- Provide excellent customer service, anticipate application needs, and resolve issues.
- Develop web-based HR analytics, dashboards, and predictive models to support organizational reporting needs.
- Work with related systems like Financial Information System and Supply Chain System to develop reports and solutions.
- Troubleshoot system issues and support operational reporting needs with ad hoc reports.
- Analyze and propose solutions for system integrations such as Time Entry, Learning, and Performance Management systems.
- Stay informed on HFHS HR strategies and maximize the capabilities of PeopleSoft HRMS and related applications.
- Manage cases using the service request database, maintaining detailed progress records.
- Serve as a backup resource and pursue ongoing professional development in relevant technical areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Electives in Database Management, Software Engineering, or Design preferred.
- 4-6 years supporting applications in an Information Systems department.
- 2-3 years in HRIS/business consulting, specifically with PeopleSoft HR and benefits administration.
- 4-6 years of SQL experience.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and database applications like MS Access.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Certifications and Licenses
- Project Management certification preferred.
- Specialized training or certification in PeopleSoft HRMS or IT preferred.
