Location & Duration

This is a temporary, full time, salaried position that qualifies for health benefits. The duration of this temporary role is approximately 4 months with the potential for extension. This is a remote position based in the USA.

Position Overview

As an HRIS Analyst at Canadian Solar, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our Human Resources Information System (HRIS) functionalities within Workday. This individual will be responsible for supporting various HRIS operations, managing system enhancements, and ensuring data integrity with a special focus on the configuration of the Workday Recruiting module. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HRIS, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Each of our business units have unique needs, this role requires creativity custom solutions for teammates around the globe doing different things. You’ll partner closely with the Global HRIS Manager to create and execute unique solutions for North America, Latin America, Europe, APAC and others.

Key Responsibilities

HRIS Management:

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of Workday, ensuring the system operates efficiently and meets organizational needs.
  • Perform regular system audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, coordinating with IT and external vendors as necessary. Review and troubleshoot third party integrations to Workday
  • Automate the flow of information between Workday modules in areas such as Time Tracking, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, L&D, Performance & Advanced Compensation.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Develop, generate, and analyze HR metrics and reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Create and maintain custom reports and dashboards to provide insights into HR operations and trends.

User Support and Training:

  • Provide technical support and training to HR staff and other end-users regarding HRIS functionalities and best practices.
  • Develop/Enhance user guides and training materials to facilitate system usage and maximize efficiency.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within Workday and work with stakeholders to implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance and IT teams to streamline processes and integrate new technologies.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure the HRIS complies with data protection regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive HR data.

Project Management:

  • Lead or participate in HRIS-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process reengineering.
  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Position Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in HRIS Administration, specifically focused on Workday
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience configuring the Workday Recruiting Module
  • Strong technical aptitude and understanding of Recruiting systems and processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data and generate actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders in various time zones around the globe
  • Experience with data security and compliance standards, including GDPR or similar regulations
  • Project management experience is a plus, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong English language skills are required for this role. Bilingual abilities in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese or Chinese is a huge plus but not required.

Canadian Solar offers a competitive salary plus fully comprehensive benefits and performance bonus package based on an annual objective achievement. Our generous benefits package includes a 401(k) Retirement Plan, medical/dental/life/disability program, PTO and sick days.

The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 USD per year. This range represents annual base salary only, without regard to location, and does not include bonus or other incentives or benefits that may apply. The pay range for this role is subject to change.
