Job description

On site daily. Working in corporate Human Resources Department supporting the HR Team.

Dagen is recruiting an HRIS Analyst with Workday experience for a downtown Arlington, VA.

This role will be critical in supporting the implementation, data migration, and development of reports and dashboards in Workday.

To ensure success in this role, the individual should have a strong background in HR systems and data analytics. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, a unique passion for leveraging technology and providing actionable insights through data.

HRIS Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Assist in data validation, testing, and system configuration during the Workday implementation lifecycle.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Download employee data and documents from source systems in preparation for upload to Workday.
  • Assist with mass data loads using EIBs and other Workday data loading tools.
  • Build and maintain standard and custom Workday reports to meeting ongoing business needs.
  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Serve as Tier 1 support for Workday inquiries from HR and other departments.
  • Identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and documentation efforts.
  • Assist with training and documentation for HR system users.
  • Develop and generate customized HR reports depending on needs and analyze data.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HRIS related tasks.
  • Lead or participate in HRIS related projects such as system upgrades, implementations, integrations, etc.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in HRIS, HR Operations, or a similar role.
  • Experience with Workday
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleansing).
  • Experience creating dashboards and custom reports in an HRIS environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
