The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) division is the agency’s designated technology provider for the Health Care Authority (HCA). Within ETS is the Web and Multimedia Services (WAMS) unit. This unit delivers innovative Information Technology (IT) solutions for enterprise-class internal and external facing web properties and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). WAMS leverages employee expertise in website development, information architecture, usability, and technology knowledge to provide technical solutions for the agency’s services and business divisions.
The HR1 Service Now Developer (IT App Development Senior Specialist) is a technical position involved in the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications and web services developed on the ServiceNow and/or future cloud-based development platforms utilized and shared by all divisions across the agency. This position provides highly complex development to support the team’s development and mission. This position reports to the WAMS supervisor.
The default assigned work location of all Health Care Authority (HCA) positions - both on-site and telework eligible positions - is within the State of Washington. This position reports to Olympia, WA. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. All agency employees are required to report on-site in Olympia on their first and last days of employment to pick up and return state-issued equipment, regardless of telework status or location.
Qualifying candidates will meet one of the following criteria options:
Master's degree or higher in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or closely related IT field and three (3) years of progressive (continuing to grow professionally) professional IT experience in analyzing, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment or providing customer or technical support in information technology.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or closely related IT field and five (5) years of progressive (continuing to grow professionally) professional IT experience in analyzing, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment or providing customer or technical support in information technology.
Associate degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or closely related IT field, and seven (7) years of progressive (continuing to grow professionally) professional IT experience in analyzing, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment or providing customer or technical support in information technology.
Nine (9) years progressive (continuing to grow professionally) professional IT experience in analyzing, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment or providing customer or technical support in information technology.
Three (3) years as a Journey Level IT ServiceNow Developer Professional in State Government.
