Job summary

Agency for Persons with Disabilities in Florida is seeking an HR Training Coordinator to design, coordinate, and deliver new employee orientation, staff trainings, and workshops. This role oversees curriculum materials and schedules training, ensuring high-quality onboarding.

You will manage the Learning Management System (LMS) as administrator, track training records, develop e-learning content (Articulate 360 preferred), and collaborate with HR on employee development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years in public speaking and/or conducting instructor-led training.
  • Experience delivering training in in-person and virtual formats.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • 1+ years creating PowerPoint presentations.

Position Summary

The Agency for Persons with Disabilities employees must demonstrate total commitment to outstanding customer service. This includes, but is not limited to, acting in a responsive, professional, courteous manner with the employees, customers, and the public we serve at all times.

This is highly professional work responsible for designing, coordinating, and conducting new employee orientation, various trainings, workshops, and in-services for staff. This position assists in formulating curriculum materials, staff training, and scheduling of assigned training.

The Work You Will Do
  • Serve as the Agency’s Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator, providing technical assistance and ongoing support to trainers, supervisors, and employees.
  • Manage LMS course assignments, registrations, employee training records, completion reports, and related documentation to ensure accurate and timely tracking of required training.
  • Design, develop, coordinate, and deliver new employee orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Design or assist in the development of a variety of training materials, including facilitator guides, participant workbooks, presentations, handouts, job aids, assessments, and online learning resources.
  • Assess organizational and departmental training needs and recommend appropriate learning solutions.
  • Develop and facilitate engaging instructor-led, virtual, and blended learning programs for employees at various levels of the organization.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of employee development, career development, and continuous learning initiatives.
  • Support special projects and organizational initiatives related to employee engagement, professional development, organizational development, and workforce effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • One (1) or more years of experience in public speaking and/or developing and conducting instructor-led training.
  • Experience conducting training in various delivery methods (in-person and virtual).
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • One (1) or more years of experience working with Microsoft PowerPoint creating presentations.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced experience in content development using e-learning software programs such as Articulate 360.
  • Experience working in Human Resources is preferred.
Note

A good attendance record is essential for this position, as the work involved occurs daily and is time-critical. The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.

Knowledge
  • Utilizing computer technology used for communication, data gathering and reporting, the essential operations of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams), state rules, policies, procedures, and practices related to personnel functions.
Ability To
  • Plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work assignments, with minimal supervision; focus on details, problem solve, communicate effectively through oral and written mediums, maintain records, adhere to deadlines, perform basic filing, maintain records, maintain a professional level or conduct in all aspects of work performance; perform in a fast-paced, and high-volume work environment.
Demonstrate Skills In
  • Excellent communication, customer service, spreadsheet, preparation and tracking, calendaring, presentation, administrative writing and reporting, and time management.

As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

Background Screening Requirement

It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
