Job summary

CAL FIRE in California seeks a Personnel Technician I to support personnel management tasks under supervision. This is the training and first journeyperson level in the series, handling selection, compensation, classification, training, and affirmative action.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent with English/writing emphasis; accuracy and teamwork are essential as you work with both professional and clerical staff across units.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade preferably with emphasis on courses in English composition and journalism.
• Accuracy and thoroughness in performance of tasks and ability to work in harmony with others in both professional and clerical occupational groups.
