Job summary

You will assist with recruitment, attendance issues, onboarding, and engagement activities, ensuring compliance with labor laws and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace. This hourly, on-site role reports to the HR team and requires a bachelor’s degree plus 2–4 years HR experience; Kronos experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• 2–4 years in an HR role, manufacturing or shift-based environment preferred.
• Proactive, people-focused professional who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• HR administrative tasks and supports HR policies and programs, including recruitment, Kronos administration, and performance management.
• Assists with attendance issues, including explaining call-in procedures or handling no-call/no-show incidents.
• Promotes a positive and inclusive workplace culture and morale through HR visibility and team engagement.
• Enforces policies and labor-law compliance during second-shift operations.
• Assists with HR projects, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Onboards new team members, providing badges, uniforms, and safety training.
• Supports hiring events and interview scheduling.
• Conducts new-hire check-ins to ensure employees settle in and have what they need.
• Plans and delivers shift engagement activities (Years of Service ceremonies, cook outs).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
