Job summary

Crewe Advisors, located in Salt Lake City, UT, seeks an HR Specialist to support the Director of Finance and Operations with recruiting, onboarding/offboarding, and benefits administration.

The role is on-site and requires meticulous, process-driven professionals who can manage BambooHR records and sensitive data while contributing to a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-3 years HR experience.
• Familiarity with an HRIS; BambooHR experience preferred but not required.
• High attention to detail and discretion handling confidential personnel data.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Process-driven with ability to follow workflows and improve processes.
• Experience in a regulated industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, including new-hire paperwork, I-9 verification, and HRIS setup in BambooHR.
• Manage periods of high onboarding activity and coordinate training and orientation.
• Maintain employee records in BambooHR and e-signature tracking for agreements and policies.
• Drive benefits administration: open enrollment logistics and COBRA notices.
• Collaborate with Operations to improve the employee experience.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee data and MNPI.
• Support additional HR initiatives as needed.

About the Role:

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Specialist to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. This role will support the Director of Finance and Operations with human resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and benefits administration.

Hours:

This role is on site in our Salt Lake City, UT office. Our standard office hours are below. There is a possibility of other required hours based on flexing business needs.

Monday - Thursday: 8am-5pm
Friday: 8am-2pm

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including new-hire paperwork, I-9 verification, state new-hire registration filings, scheduling, HRIS administration, and system setup in BambooHR.
• Effectively manage periods of high onboarding activity, coordinating multiple training, orientation, and employee integration processes simultaneously.
• Maintain accurate and up to date employee records in BambooHR, including rollout and e-signature tracking of Employment Agreements, Employee Handbook, Policies & Procedures, Emergency Action Plan, and Social Media Policy.
• Drive benefits administration: open enrollment logistics, COBRA notices, and day-to-day vendor coordination.
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to create, maintain and improve a positive and feedback driven employee experience.
• Serve as a culture champion by modeling company values, building strong relationships, and contributing to an inclusive, people-first workplace environment.
• Maintain complete confidentiality of employee data and any material nonpublic information (MNPI) encountered incidentally.
• Support additional HR initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to meet evolving business and organizational needs.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Approximately 1-3 years of HR experience.
• Familiarity with an HRIS platform; BambooHR experience preferred but not required.
• High attention to detail and demonstrated discretion handling confidential personnel data.
• Strong, proactive oral and written communication skills.
• Embrace process-driven work, with the ability to follow established workflows, document procedures, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
• Exposure to a regulated industry (financial services or similar) is a plus, but not a requirement.
