ARCO a Family of Construction Companies in Brentwood, MO seeks an HR Shared Services Lead to join our team. The role supports the Shared Services group across 46 U.S.

cities, Canada, and future international markets, administering leave-of-absence programs and HR compliance. You will lead the shared services coordinator team, oversee onboarding, HR systems, and data integrity, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize HR operations and drives strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR Operations/Shared Services/HR Generalist experience required.
• People management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business admin, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and stay flexible.
• Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience in project management and process improvement.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HR platforms; UKG experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shared services coordinator team with coaching and development.
• Manage day-to-day HR shared services operations for employees and managers.
• Oversee onboarding including I-9 compliance and data entry.
• Administer HR systems and employee records with data accuracy.
• Maintain data integrity in HR transactions and payroll info.
• Coordinate inquiries, vendor communication, and billing.
• Support lifecycle events: hires, transfers, promotions, changes, terminations.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, TA, Technology to resolve issues.
• Lead HR projects for process improvements and system enhancements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

ARCO is currently seeking an HR Shared Services Lead to join our team in our Brentwood, MO office. This role will support our Shared Services team in administering leave‑of‑absence programs and other HR compliance activities for our 6B organization across 46 U.S. cities, Canada, and future international markets.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Lead the shared services coordinator team, providing ongoing coaching, training, performance feedback, and professional development.
• Manage day‑to‑day HR shared services operations, ensuring efficient and accurate support for employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee employee onboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, system setup, data entry, and I-9 compliance.
• Administer HR systems and employee records, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Manage and troubleshoot issues related to employee records, PTO administration, benefits processes, and HR system functionality.
• Conduct regular audits of employee data, personnel files, payroll information, and HR transactions to maintain data integrity and compliance within the HR function.
• Coordinate employee inquiries, vendor communication, and billing processes.
• Support employee lifecycle activities, including hires, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, and terminations.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Technology, and other departments to resolve employee and system‑related issues.
• Partner with HR leadership and cross‑functional teams to implement process improvements and support strategic HR initiatives.
• Lead special projects related to HR operations, process optimization, system enhancements, and organizational growth initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR Operations, Shared Services, or HR Generalist experience required. People management experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degreein Human Resources, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent working experience.
• Ability to prioritize, multi‑task and remain flexible.
• Excellent organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Effective project management and process improvement experience.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and associate privacy.
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across our business.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR technology platforms. UKG experience preferred.
