Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an HR Representative to provide frontline support for colleagues, answer inquiries, and process HR transactions with accuracy and confidentiality. You will assist onboarding and offboarding, support HR cycles, and collaborate with the HR team to maintain records.

You should have at least 1 year of administrative or customer service experience, preferably HR exposure, and strong communication skills.

Human Resources Representative

The HR Representative serves as a front-line support to colleagues by providing real-time, accurate and comprehensive responses to inquiries regarding general HR-related issues, policies, procedures and processes. Processes employee related transactions accurately based on research, employee-specific information and process guidelines.

Processes employee related transactions accurately based on research, employee-specific information and process guidelines. Assists with onboarding and offboarding processes, supports HR cyclical processes and compliance considerations. Collaborates with HR team to ensure accurate and efficient processing of employee transactions. Delivers service in a professional and efficient manner, providing prompt assistance while managing expectations to achieve high levels of consumer satisfaction. Escalates complex issues, where applicable. Maintains appropriate documentation and records for HR-related cases.

1 year of administrative or customer services experience (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience

• 1 year of Human Resources experience required

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $22.93 - $34.97 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
