This role blends strategic partnering with meaningful ownership of the day-to-day programs that keep our people experience running smoothly, from onboarding and employee relations to benefits, leaves, and compliance.

You’ll also lend support to recruitment for your client groups, from defining role requirements to participating in interviews, and contribute to broader People Team programs like engagement initiatives, learning and development, and process improvements. This is a role for someone who enjoys equal parts strategic partnering and operational ownership, and who's comfortable being the connective tissue between people strategy and the policies, programs, and compliance work that make it real.

  • Support performance cycle execution within client groups, including goal-setting and calibration conversations
  • Internal communications coaching and monitoring

  • Serve as a discreet, trusted resource for employees and managers navigating complex employee relations matters, partnering with the Director, People as needed
  • Support a coordinated onboarding experience for new hires within client groups, including follow-up check-in and integration support
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including wellness, developmental, and team-building programs
  • Help develop feedback mechanisms to monitor employee sentiment and recommend improvements
Benefits and Leave Management
  • Own US benefits program maintenance and improvement, plan selection, and broker and carrier relationships, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and leave programs
  • Administer and continuously improve leave of absence and accommodation processes for US employees, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state requirements
  • Lead annual US open enrollment strategy, partnering with People Team colleagues on day-to-day administration and employee communication
  • Own renewals and strategic direction for global benefits and leave programs, partnering with regional People Team members who handle daily execution
  • Ensure compliance with regional legislative and compliance requirements across the USA, and our global locations
  • Analyze benefits utilization and cost data across regions to inform plan design recommendations
  • Monitor market trends and benchmarks to keep TechInsights’ benefits offerings competitive
Recruitment and Talent Support
  • Partner with the hiring teams and the People & Talent Coordinator for full-cycle recruitment support, training and coaching hiring panels, and candidate assessment
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated business partnering across multiple functions or leadership groups
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or CEBS certification is an asset
  • Solid grounding in employee relations, with a track record of navigating sensitive workplace matters with discretion and sound judgment
  • Strong, hands-on experience designing and administering benefits and leave programs, including vendor and broker management; multi-country benefits exposure (Canada, UK, or Europe) is an asset
  • Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions (US federal and state, plus exposure to Canada, UK, or Europe)
