Job summary

Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group in Henderson, KY is seeking an HR & Payroll Specialist (Administrative) to support employees, operations and shared services. The role handles payroll data, benefits and HR information.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in HR or accounting, at least two years of related experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; payroll software Sage CRE 300 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of related HR/payroll experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Payroll software experience preferred (Sage CRE 300).
• Experience with Certified Payroll preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain payroll information (hourly rates, salaries, bonuses, deductions, time worked, leave).
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll and HR records.
• Process garnishments and child support orders.
• Initiate direct deposits and manage retirement/HSA files.
• Prepare payroll tax deposits and filings.
• Manage HR data and reporting; respond to employee inquiries.
• Assist with new employee files, scanning and filing; perform clerical tasks.

HR & PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Job Summary

The HR & Payroll Specialist will perform HR and payroll related duties to support employees, operations, and shared services.

Job Duties

• Enters, maintains, and/or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
• Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of employee related information and payroll/timekeeping records.
• Process garnishments, and child support orders (including QMCSO).
• Initiate direct deposits and prepare retirement and Health Savings Account files.
• Make all tax deposits and file payroll tax reports.
• Manage HR data and reporting.Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.Processes and distributes mail to HR and payroll team.Assists with creating new employee files, scanning and filing documents, and other clerical functions.Promotes workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
