Job summary

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking a Human Resources/Payroll Administrator to manage daily HR and payroll operations, partnering with the HR Director to ensure accurate processing and timely reporting. This full-time role emphasizes compliance, onboarding, benefits, and HRIS maintenance.

You will handle end-to-end payroll, benefits administration, I-9/E-Verify, and collaborate with Accounting while delivering excellent service to employees and supporting recruitment and employee

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in an HR or administrative role, preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • System Experience (web-based, third-party such as SAP, BambooHR, ADP or Paycom/Paycor, preferred
  • Office-based work experience
  • Basic knowledge of employment law, PR and HR best practices

Responsibilities

  • First contact for employees.
  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Record data for each employee, including information such as addresses, earnings, absences, amount of paid/unpaid time off, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Explain company policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
  • Assist in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
  • Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
  • Prepare and set up for new employee orientations, open enrollment and employee engagement activities.
  • Gather records from other departments or employees.
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
  • Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them.
  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.
  • Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and refer them to hiring personnel.
  • Post of job vacancies and screen applicants to notify internal departments

Job Summary

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking a Human Resources/Payroll Administrator to manage daily administrative tasks, ensuring HR and Payroll operations run smoothly. Partnering with the HR Director, you will be responsible for payroll processing and compensation administration as well as assisting with systems administration, recruiting, reporting and compliance.

Essential Job Functions
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees
  • Ensure compliance with I-9 and E-Verify
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, background checks, and exit processing.
  • Administer benefits and support HR audits to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws
  • End-to-end payroll processing
  • Administer pay programs including base pay, merit increases, referral bonuses, service charges and gratuities
  • Coordinate with managers, benefit providers, broker of record and legal counsel when needed
  • Respond to payroll and time off inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Partner with Accounting to support reporting
  • Maintain HRIS/Payroll System

Tools and Technology Used:
  • MS Office –Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Databases- Using a computer application to manage large amounts of information, including creating and editing simple databases, inputting data, retrieving specific records, and creating reports to communicate the information.
  • Graphics- Working with pictures in graphics programs or other applications, including creating simple graphics, manipulating the appearance, and inserting graphics into other programs.
  • Internet- Using a computer application to create, manipulate, edit, and show virtual slide presentations.
  • Navigation- Using scroll bars, a mouse, and dialog boxes to work within the computer's operating system. Being able to access and switch between applications and files of interest.
  • Presentations- Navigating the Internet to find information, including the ability to open and configure standard browsers; use searches, hypertext references, and transfer protocols; and send and retrieve electronic mail (e-mail).
  • Spreadsheets- Using a computer application to enter, manipulate, and format text and numerical data; insert, delete, and manipulate cells, rows, and columns; and create and save worksheets, charts, and graphs.
  • Word Processing- Using a computer application to type text, insert pictures, format, edit, print, save, and retrieve word processing documents
  • Photocopier, Scanner, Personal Computer
