Job summary

Highgate is seeking an Assistant Director of Human Resources for the Park Central New York property. This role supports the Director of HR across benefits, recruitment, onboarding, and policy enforcement in a busy hotel environment.

The position requires a 4-year degree, 3+ years in hospitality HR, union experience, and prior supervisory duties, with willingness to work long hours and manage confidential information.

Qualifications

• A 4-year college degree.
• At least 3 years of progressive Human Resources management experience in a hotel or related industry.
• Recruitment experience in the hospitality field required.
• Experience in union environment required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility required.

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits enrollment and payroll-related tasks.
• Maintain hire/termination logs and assist with recruitment advertising.
• Conduct prescreening interviews and respond to unemployment claims.
• Manage Leave of Absence and Worker's Compensation processes.
• Assist with orientation and new-hire onboarding.
• Support in communications, newsletters, and employee events.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
• Attend required meetings and provide MO D coverage as needed.
