Job summary

Kelly+Partners is seeking a HR Operations Advisor based in our Malibu office. You will provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, while offering strategic input and day-to-day execution.

Reporting to the Global Head of People, you will partner with senior leaders to drive compliant HR programs. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s in HR or related field, and a track record of working across engagement, policy, and people

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on HR Operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and best practices.
• Proven ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding).
• Develop, implement, and improve HR policies and processes to ensure compliance.
• Advise Partners on employee relations, performance, and workplace matters.
• Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
• Contribute to people initiatives in engagement, culture, learning and development.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Kelly+Partners is seeking a HR Operations Advisor to join our Services team, presently based in our Malibu office. This is a hands‑on, role providing both strategic input and operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

Reporting to the Global Head of People, this role is suited to an experienced and proven HR professional with approximately 6+ years’ experience who enjoys being close to the business, advising leaders while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day HR execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on HR support across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
• Support the ongoing development, implementation, and improvement of HR systems, policies, and processes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Act as a trusted advisor to Partners on employee relations, performance management, and workplace matters
• Coordinate and deliver end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding activities to ensure a consistent and positive new‑hire experience
• Maintaining employee records / documentation, ensuring all documentation is accurate and easily accessible
• Contribute strategic input to people initiatives across engagement, culture, learning, and development, while also supporting hands‑on delivery
• Participate in and support people‑related projects that enable growth, scalability, and organisational effectiveness
• Assist with HR data collection and analysis, including headcount, turnover, and engagement metrics, to support reporting and decision‑making
• Work closely with the CEO and Global Head of People to embed and maintain group policies, procedures, and best practices
• Travel to other office locations as required to provide in‑person HR support and build strong working relationships across the business

About You

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in a hands‑on HR Operations role, ideally within a greenfield or growing or fast‑paced organisation
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and best practice
• Demonstrated ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level
• Confident communicator with the ability to build credibility and effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Solutions‑focused mindset with a genuine interest in supporting people and improving the employee experience
• Willing and able to travel to multiple office locations as required
• Comfortable handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
