Job summary

Top-Us in Toledo, OH is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to handle recruiting, orientation, employee relations, and HR support. This in-person role runs 8am–5pm and reports to the HR team, with a focus on accurate records and policy guidance.

You will coordinate onboarding, respond to employee questions, ensure compliance with employment laws, and maintain HR documentation across locations. Experience in HR or related admin work and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred; Japanese

Qualifications

• Experience in Human Resources or a related administrative role.
• Working knowledge of basic HR practices and employment laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience in multicultural/international environment is a plus.
• Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interviews, and hiring coordination.
• Coordinate new employee orientation and training programs.
• Respond to employee questions and assist with workplace and employee relations matters.
• Support management with staffing, performance, training, and other HR-related needs.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and related reports.
• Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding company policies and HR procedures.
• Coordinate HR information and reporting with other company locations as needed.
• Communicate HR-related information and management direction to employees.
• Help foster effective communication and positive working relationships in a multicultural workplace.
• Support compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.
