Job summary

First MainStreet Insurance (FMSI) seeks a Human Resources Manager to lead talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee relations. You will partner with leaders to deliver strategic HR support, coordinate compliance, and drive engagement while aligning with company culture.

The role oversees HR operations across Cedar Rapids and contributes to workforce planning, training, and development, leveraging FMSI’s values of Exceptionalism, Collaboration and Resourcefulness.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ proven success and experience in human resources, talent acquisition, employee relations, onboarding, training and development or related HR functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage talent acquisition processes across the organization.
• Develop and implement onboarding programs with clear role clarity and success measures.
• Lead employee relations and engagement initiatives to foster a positive colleague experience.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, including EEOC reporting and postings.
• Support training and development programs to enhance skills and organizational growth.
