Overview
HR Manager Remote at the Company Advocate Aurora Health. This job vacancy is located in Remote in Milwaukee, WI, United States. The position requires candidates with a Master Degree and is open to job seekers who meet the stated education requirement.
Responsibilities
  • Support a portfolio of enterprise functions for the nation’s 3rd largest healthcare system (67 hospitals, over 1,000 care sites in 6 states with 150,000 employees).
  • Align business objectives with teammates and leaders and serve as a consultant to management on business-related issues, leveraging HR programs and business literacy about the unit’s financial position, plans, culture, competition, and customers.
  • Develop integrated HR solutions by proactively communicating needs within the HR department and with business management.
  • Form partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services that reflect organizational objectives and act as a champion and change agent.
  • Assess and anticipate business needs requiring Human Capital Management (HCM) related solutions.
  • Perform most duties remotely with some travel as required.
  • Act as a business HR partner to assigned leaders, functioning as an HCM consultant on business and HR matters.
  • Translate organizational expectations and culture into how HR services are delivered.
  • Guide short- and long-term decisions using workforce planning, development, and succession planning processes.
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, restructures, and change initiatives.
  • Research and analyze trends and metrics with HR centers of expertise to develop effective HR solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Challenge leaders appropriately while maintaining strong business partnerships and trust with executives and leaders.
  • Develop creative ideas and solutions to help areas meet business objectives using HR and business strategy expertise.
  • Collaborate with management and caregivers to improve relationships, morale, productivity, and retention of key talent.
  • Identify development needs for business units and executives, including coaching, with effective follow-up and results.
  • Provide performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, career development, corrective action) to drive business results.
  • Coach leaders on actions that reflect and reinforce the organizational culture.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues not handled by shared services, including objective investigations.
  • Leverage succession management and compensation knowledge to ensure appropriate movement and retention within the organization.
  • Maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to day-to-day caregiver management to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
  • Build partnerships with HR centers of expertise, HR Service Center, and legal to ensure policy and employment-law compliance.
Education and Experience

Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Human Resources or related field.

Experience Required: Typically requires 7 years of experience in organizational development consulting, resolving complex employee relations issues, and developing, facilitating, and leading HR functions and initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Experience in a complex healthcare organization is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Demonstrated consulting skills and ability to apply organizational strategies to address business challenges including change/succession management, workforce planning, leadership development, and organization design. Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines and business practices including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee/union relations, diversity, performance management, regulatory compliance and employment laws. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, influence leaders, and develop solutions. Ability to build consensus and resolve policy disputes. Strong analytical ability with business, industry, and financial acumen; understands the role of caregivers and leaders in driving financial performance. Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency with HCM systems, report writing, and Microsoft Office software.
