Job summary

Shearer’s Foods in Dayton, OH is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions at the manufacturing facility. You will provide strategic HR guidance and drive employee relations, retention and compensation initiatives in partnership with plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Business, Human Resources or another applicable field is required.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in Human Resources management is required.
• Excellent data analytics and presentation skills are expected.
• Proven ability to use a project-management style of work and deliver programs on-time.
• Interpersonal attributes support credible internal customer service leadership.
• Proven ability to foster a positive culture of high performance, trust and teamwork.
• Proven strong leadership and relationship-building with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Connect with associates, supervisors and leadership to identify turnover and improve retention.
• Lead the onboarding process and coordinate benefits enrollment with Corporate HR.
• Provide leadership to managers on associate relations, training and execution.
• Develop programs that improve associate relations, including union-avoidance initiatives.
• Consult with managers on employment policy interpretation and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Corporate Safety and Security to ensure regulatory compliance and safety culture.
• Foster Shearer’s Safety Culture across the plant and corporate functions.
• Manage corporate projects as directed by HR leadership.
