Job Summary
Manage and administer all human resources activities such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services in the assigned division. Facilitate implementation of the organization's human resource strategy to attract, manage, develop, and retain employees to achieve current and future business objectives.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs at the assigned location. Assist and advise local managers on HR issues.
- Coach employees and managers on correct interpretation and administration of company HR policies.
- Assist management in maintaining positive employee relations.
- Assess the internal employee climate, counsel with managers to identify and implement actions that improve or maintain a positive employee relations environment. Represent the company at unemployment hearings when needed.
- Recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbook.
- Support employee recruitment, selection, and retention through conducting orientations, monitoring career development programs, counseling, outplacement, and exit interviews.
- Work with managers to determine training needs, analyze data, and recommend training programs to support development.
- Plan and conduct new employee orientations and develop proactive training plans.
- Administer job evaluations and compensation programs ensuring internal consistency and equity. Assist managers with salary administration.
- Assist with Worker's Compensation issues, ensuring quick return to work, monitoring restricted duties, and reviewing claims for corrective actions.
Management Responsibilities
- Oversee professional or non-professional employees, manage day-to-day operations, and contribute to budgetary decisions.
- Interpret and develop policies, recommend policy modifications, and set guidelines for staff.
- Handle staffing, performance reviews, training, and personnel planning.
Requirements
Education
Work Experience
- Minimum 4 years in HR roles.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of HR policies, federal and state laws.
- Experience in project coordination, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations across organizational levels.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.
Preferred Requirements
- PHR or SPHR certification.
- Experience in managing people, including hiring, motivation, and development.
