Job summary

Marcurius seeks a hands-on HR Manager to lead day-to-day US People operations in Clearwater, FL. You will partner with leadership to build compliant, mission-focused HR processes supporting engineering, manufacturing and operations teams.

The role focuses on recruitment collaboration, employee records, performance advisory, benefits and payroll coordination, and workforce planning in a fast-paced defense-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive US HR generalist experience with employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of US labor standards, wage/hour (FLSA), leave administration and confidential recordkeeping.
• Experience onboarding workflows and working with HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms.
• Judgment, investigative skills, and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced technical/defense environment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Partner with recruitment to manage job descriptions, offers, onboarding and offboarding for technical, manufacturing and business roles.
• Maintain employment records, Form I-9 processes, work-authorization verification and retention schedules; coordinate E-Verify where applicable.
• Advise managers on performance, attendance, conduct and employee relations; conduct investigations and escalate as needed.
• Administer compensation reviews, benefits, leave and payroll changes with Finance and providers; verify approvals and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with wage-hour laws, EEO, disability accommodations and protected leave.
• Maintain policies and manager guidance; translate employment-law changes into procedures.
• Coordinate training records, required approvals, and access for restricted work.
• Support workforce planning, retention, succession, and reporting on headcount and turnover.
• Protect employee and applicant information with restricted access and retention schedules.
