Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily HR Operations, including team workflow, to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent service delivery.
  • Acts as a primary point of contact with COEs on program delivery issues and customizations for the business they support.
  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, employee changes, leaves of absence, workers' compensation, payroll coordination, and separations.
  • Builds and nurtures cross-functional relationships with employees, HRBP's, and leaders across the business.
  • Oversee the FLBIHR mailbox to ensure the timely distribution of inquiries and delivery of accurate, responsive support.
  • Maintain compliant personnel-file practices by monitoring applicable legal requirements, protecting employee information, and reducing legal risk.
  • Produce timely responses to audits and requests for reports, data and employee records.
  • Manage production of regular data and metrics that are meaningful to HRBP's and business leaders to drive profitable growth, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends and best practice in all areas of responsibility to ensure up-to-date practices and innovation.
  • Provides support for HR Operations staff responsibilities and back-up for absences.
  • Shares local intelligence and provides a field perspective on the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on HR compliance and HR regulatory needs.
  • Owner of performance management tools and reporting.
  • Supports engagement initiatives with data and reporting.
  • Partner with managers and HRBP's to give input on staffing and retention needs.
  • Ensure job descriptions are updated and maintained in document control system.
  • Supports HRBPs on restructures by providing input on process compliance.
  • Maintains HR policies and enters updates in document control and intranet.
  • Assist in employee relations investigations, as needed.
  • Support employee recognition programs.
  • Update HR space on employee intranet.
  • Serve as champion of company culture, modeling Company standards, and delivery of an exceptional colleague experience.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment law.
  • Administrative support for talent development function, as needed.
Required Skills/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related area. SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Experience managing HR operations, employee lifecycle process, compliance, reporting, and workforce administration
  • Experience partnering with HR Business Partners, business leaders and HR Center of Excellence
  • Understanding HR processes (onboarding, offboarding, orientation, recruitment, leave of absence, Workers Compensation, HRIS, payroll, benefits and other HR administrative processes).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite of products. Experience using Co-Pilot preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.Mustbe comfortable with public speaking and giving presentations.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data and situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential information and provide a positive image for the company in all situations (internally and externally)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Up to date knowledge of current federal/state regulations related to employment. CA employment law required.
  • Experience creating, facilitating, presenting and leading performance management processes including goal setting, coaching, feedback, calibration and employee/manager meetings.
  • Solid understanding and user knowledge of HRIS, applicant tracking and employee development systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc.
  • May be required to travel.
  • Possession of the highest level of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Organization, initiative, follow through, influence, problem solving, decision-making, accountability and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with ADP or the ability to quickly learn HRIS, payroll and similar employee management software.
  • Understanding of Cornerstone or other performance management and development programs and practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills; ability to use formulas, pivot tables, charts, etc.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment law.
  • Ability to speak and read English.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.
Salary and Benefits
  • For California, the base salary range for this position is $107,400- $120,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
